Mackie Controll Pro & C4
The VS700 might be an option too. But for that kind of money I'd like it to be able to controll multiple DAW's.
A one in all solution is a Tascam DM4800 with firewirecard. It will integrate with Sonar with 32 channels of audio into Sonar and 32 channels out of Sonar. You can expand this, if desired to two DM4800's and cascade those. (only a cascade cable required as the cascadecards are allready build in.
You will have 24 mic preamps 2x AES EBU and/or SPDIF. Two build in reverbs. The whole system will run at 96khz. For this to happen you need a QUADCORE DAW with 4GB memory and two internal harddisks. WINXP/W7 32bit/64bit or OSX LEOPARD or SNOWLEOPARD.
The Tascam DM4800 will require a learningcurve wich some say is quite steep. But it will payback once you master the desk... The Tascam DM4800 can be fitted in an ARGOSY desk and will look appealing to clients...
