Two questions ... 1) Lane Properties?...2) Key Bindings Search?

1)  Key Binding TEXT Search?

I have reassigned "m" to "MUTE" and now I want to assign the letter "i"  to "INSERT A MARKER" - should be simple, search for the text "insert" and/or "markers" - but there is no "text" search for key bindings.

...long story short - see if you can find it without the following CW solution - it is under "Project | |Insert Marker" in the Global Bindings - I then thought that it was my fault for not knowing CW's filtering system, so I checked for the category "Project" that I could use to filter down the Function list - not there.

On my system, the letter "i" does NOT bind with the "INSERT MARKER" - even though it shows as "empty" - after reassign, it does not take.  Instead I used the INS key - and it works.  (This is after a cold reboot)

Why?

2)  Lane Properties?

I have 3 Lanes of Electric Guitar takes on a Single Track and now I want to "splice and dice"...one Lane at a time...no problem.
But for clarity, I would like to hide/min those Lanes I am NOT working on.   I know a "Key Binding Text Search" is out...

I can't find how to do it?

Point 1 maybe because "i" is currently bound to the inspector but I always thought re-binding would cancel any previous binding but maybe not.

Point 2. Use show/hide layers to do that.

Yes the key binding dialogue/system could be much better.

    ah...layers...thank you.

The assigned "i" to the Inspector makes sense that it is locked down - I never thought of that.
