Hey McQ!

I saw these sizzzlers and thought of you.

See that nice ridge at the front?  It stops that flippy floppy bit of sock coming out the front and dirtying up all that fresh whiteness and yet is still able to exhibit the fullness of your darning prowess.

Whaddya think...

Yes?

No?

Maybe?

Do they have my sizze?

    There ya go.

ACG's by Nike no less.  So you'll even get respect when you strut round the 'hood in these puppies.

    Don't forget we need pictures.

Them shoes are for city folks.

The trophy hunters in my neck of the woods would probably shoot me before they figured out the furry stuff was just a pair of shoes.

Here's what we do... we pack to go camping very quickly and sloppily. Then we do an *inventory* as we are driving to the mountains. (it's 8 to 10 hours at highway speeds)

Anything we forgot we buy at the last Walmart before we hit the hills.

I always get a pair of cheap water walker sandals there and use them for all the hiking... and I get a few months out of them when I get back home too.

Best way to prevent foot rot is to hang it out there!

    Or something like that.

    :-)

Hope you have a blast Mike.

These are seriously taking off in my neck of the woods. Can't say I would ever have an interest in them. I have seen quite a few folk wearing them. The next fad maybe? They have hikers in the same style. I think reworking the mousetrap can sometimes go overboard IMO.

    Thanks Starise,

My wife is still athletic and she bought a pair of those for running recently.

She enjoys them and finds that you do indeed alter you foot strike style in such a way that it seems to benefit your knees. Shes likes them.

    best,
    mike

I had a witty bantam once.  I'd come over to see him and his brood every morning.  Every time, he'd greet me with the oddest ritual.  I'd walk in and before I could even shut the door, I'd see him in mid-air, lunging at my face with these gigantic claws.

This might seem off-putting to some people, but it was all part of his normal greeting.  I'd walk in holding a rather hefty axe handle (sadly, without the axe head).  When he attacked, I'd swing and knock him to the far end of the room.  He'd bounce of the wall and hit the floor.  Usually, he'd jump up and try to rip my face off another two or three times.  Each time, I'd crack him in the chest with that axe handle.  Eventually, he'd escape through a small doorway leading to his yard.

    Fun times...
