I usually crash between 3 and 4 am. But I'm rather antisocial and a bit dysfunctional.

When I'm really in my own world, I sleep when I'm tired and stay up when I'm awake.  However, with our startup, it seems I'm up working around 7:30am (PT) and STILL working after midnight every day...  *sigh*

That barely gives me enough free time to read Bapu's posts!

I would likely stay up till 3am if not for the fact that I need to be up at 5:30. I love to stay up late , thats usually when all the good stuff happens. I suspect that some of you are like I was and you cloak your whereabouts here so you are on but it doesn't show up that your on.

Guitarhacker I'm probably old but I'm not about to start acting like it yet.

Craig, I hope you can finally get that thing off the ground and get some rest or you might become old like some of the rest of us.

As for you antisocial/disfunctional folks..Rain and Ampfixer..... You gots to come out of your hole sometime lol!

I used to operate on no more than 4 hours of sleep each night (usually less) when I was younger.  having children and getting older changed that.

but I guess I can't blame it on the children any more since they're all moved out, now and I typically go to bed by 9:30 or 10 at the latest.  I get up at 4:30 to get ready for work, tho.

so yeah, like guitarhacker - I'm starting to act like an old person.  bed when the sun goes down, up before the chickens.

I must not be old yet. I would need to pop a few sleeping pills to be asleep by 10pm. Unless I didnt sleep much a few nights prior. The truth be told,I really don't like to sleep. My body tells me its time but I ain't never ready.

I used to stay up till about 2:00 AM or until the beer ran out but I got tired of occasionally waking up in the morning outside in my undies....
Nah, these days I go to bed about 9:30 or 10:00... sometimes earlier. Then I read unitl my eyes start to cross.
I wake up almost every morning at 8:37... I know that is weird but probably 7 out or 10 days when I wake up and look at the clock it is 8:37

I'm usually not home from work until midnight or so.
Last night was an exception; home before 8, but fired up the DAW about 10.
    Didn't get anything useful recorded.

My best days are the ones where I don't wake up.

Once I wake up, it's all downhill from there.

I used to operate on no more than 4 hours of sleep each night (usually less) when I was younger.  having children and getting older changed that.

The funny thing is I used to be the opposite (before having children). I used to sleep 7-8 hrs. a night (just woke up later in the afternoon) and now with the responsibilities of having a 5,3, & 1 year old, I sleep around 4-5 hrs. a night. I have to be at work by 6:00 AM so, I really do need to sleep by midnight (or before).

I miss staying up late and working on my music, but when I start dozing off around 11:30 I can understand why I can't seem to complete a song (but, it's a small price to pay for the quality time I get to spend with the little ones). I thought the key was to get the children to join in on the music session.....until my 1 yr old stepped on the USB connected to my DAW, took out both USB ports, while my 3 yr old rebooted the machine with Sonar running and my 5 yr old was trying to dance & sing with the mic (knocking down various things in the studio). Now, I have a lock on the door with a sign that says "Trespassers will be shot"......(if they could only read.....pffft).

    Whoa!  That's startling, Starise!

I know when someone tells me I'm not alone, I have to wonder a few things.

    • How did they know that?
    • Did I miss a payment?
    • Did a certain beagle place security cameras around his becan stash?

Remember.... just because you are paranoid does not mean that everyone is not watching you!

Re: the payment. The payment can be considered "paid in full" if you can disclose the location of the becan stash.
