Sonar 8.5.3 64 bit won't Recognise Studio Instruments from Sonar 6 & 7 32 bit-Please help

Ok I have Windows 7 with Sonar 8.5.3 - 64 bit now but previously had Sonar 6 & 7 XL with Studio Instruments on a 32 bit computer. Did some oldish recordings using Sonar 6 & 7 and liked Studio Instruments bass, piano & strings a lot but its built into the old 32 bit software. Now tried to load in Studio Instruments as a VST plug in but Sonar 8.5.3 won't recognise it or play it. I have a) Loaded in Studio Instruments from the original disk as recommended. It's gone into "c\program files\cakewalk\studio instruments". b) Opened Sonar 8.5.3 & pasted in this file location into "Global Options" "VST Plug-ins" so it will be scanned on open up everytime. c) Have rescanned & reset all plug-ins several times. d) But Studio Instruments doesn't appear in "tools" "Cakewalk Plug-in Manager" e) Also can't find a "dll" file for Studio Instruments in its 3 folders. f) When I load in a file with Studio Instruments Bass I get the message saying it won't play the Studio instruments plugin. What do I need to do to make 8.5.3 play/recognise Studio Instruments as a plug in ??? thx guys :)

Just install the 32 bit version You can't run 32 bit VST on the 64 bit version of Sonar witout using something called bitbridge.

I would prefer not to have to fully install Sonar 7XL 32 bit again Why not install Bitbridge then ?? Are there issues with that too ?

Install the 32-bit version of 8.5 rather than 7XL.
