No volume control in plugin (but old projects work fine)

Hi. I've just built a new system and reinstalled SONAR X1c Producer from scratch. It's a vanilla installtion, with nothing much customized. My problem is this: any new projects I create, most plugins allow volume control per midi track, but Omnisphere and a couple of others don't. Even weirder is that older projects (before the new install) have everything working normally. It's really bizarre. I'm waiting to hear back from Spectrasonics on the issue, but I suspect it's SONAR and not Omnisphere (since a couple of Native Instruments virtual synths are doing the same thing). Any ideas? Anyone encountered anyone like this? Is there a nuke/reset for Sonar? Anything less drastic. In all my years (too many) working with stuff, I'm utterly stymied. MAYDAY!

Even though multiple synths are affected, it may still be an issue with the synths themselves. Not all synths respond to CC7 by default, which is what the volume slider and volume automation send. I don't have Omnisphere, but it would seem that it, too, is one of those synths that has to be specifically told to use CC7 for volume.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I was sort of wondering if that might be the case. I wish standards would be "standard." Thanks very much for the reply. I'll post whatever solutions I get from Spectrasonics. I've already had a first reply from them on it (just double-checking software versions etc). What's baffling is that, everything works fine with files created in X1c from the previous system/installation. If I load an older song, everything works and Omnisphere responds to volume controls normally. If I create a new song, Omnisphere stops responding. That's the head-scratcher. Thanks again, ~A

Just a quick follow-up for anyone who might run into this apparently uncommon problem. To recap, the issue: some plugins (but not all) didn't respond to track volume adjustments. It could be resolved by training each plugin's track to respond to CC7, but that interrupts workflow (and creativity). The weird part was that it was a new install on a new system (X1c Producer). The Solution was found by doing two steps. That said, I suspect the actual issue was resolved in the plugins themselves, but I made two changes before actually checking for a result (bad troubleshooting practice, I know). In Sonar X1: EDIT > PREFERENCES > Select ADVANCED > Go to AUDIO, RESET CONFIGURATION FILE. In Plugin: (Various methods) Re-initialize plugin settings. In any case, resetting/reinitializing preferences seemed to do the trick.
