can midi/soft synths be played with the computer keyboard?

 Cause I cannot afford a controller and bieng able to use qwerty keyboard to play noted would be a great idea,i hope its included in sonar x1 studio

    not directly. you can buy a program to allow you to do that.

    you do know that you can enter notes using your mouse in the Piano Roll View or Staff View, tho, right?

    Yes i do but that way is very slow and cumbersome and doesnt allow me to improvise and write,pay for it?thats rediculous I couldnt even afford this.

    you can find a cheap midi controller/musical keyboard in music stores around $60 or so...... check craigs list and Ebay for more deals....also you can find them in the want-ads in the paper as well, and the prices are very often dirt cheap. 

    Using a midi controller is the best way to do this. The controller does not have to be a fancy one..... MIDI is MIDI and is the same from a $50 controller as from a $3000 controller.
