Hey All,  Really nice work!!! Fantastic playing , arrangement and production  Loved the tune, especially liked the ending. My only little nit pick is ( and this is minor and probably just me ), but I would have dialed down the distortion a tad on the rhythm guitar... I know it has that definitive 80's characteristic but I think it would have blended a little better with a warmer rhythm sound. OTOH,  Danny, you nailed the tone for the lead! I absolutely love that !!!!

Majestic sounding 80's pop/rock- I haven't read all the posts but I'm sure someone must have said it could've worked as a tv theme song. Maybe someone will come out with "That 80's Show." Very enjoyable listen and props to everyone involved. Anthony

Great ambient electronica orchestrations with a rhythmic dominance (to my ears); perhaps, I'd possibly have tweaked those drums a bit more insanely for skating/dancing, IMHO.  But beatz tunes have corrupted me at present.

Somehow, the guitars (Danzi? and Rik?) reminded me of an SMB symphony with James and Larry at the helm.  And some of those 'eclectic' guitar phrases made me smile for their bursts of sweetness.

Hey, you guys are just great! Thank you so much for listening and commenting on this little tune.  I WILL answer you all individually, but we're on vacation and the internet is rather hard to find.  You're all so encouraging, though, and it's so nice to be part of this community.  :)  Now, I just hope Rik likes it OK when he gets back from vacation!  It's a little out of his comfort zone.

Reece, of course you liked the drums... I didn't do 'em.  But Danny showed me a weird way to get mine to sound better, so I haven't given up.

The rest of you...later, after I check out Cancun a little more.  :)

OK, I'm finally back to a good computer, so here we go...

Thanks Manny. Really appreciate the kudos. :)

Thanks Greg. I do too. :)

Thank YOU, Ed. I hope I wasn't too hard on you. :)

Thank you, Bruce. I like that name. :) Thanks Mark. I like that picture you painted. And yeah, I never fail to learn something every time I do a song. It sure helps to have such great teachers! :)

Thank ya, Pal. :)

Really tickled that you liked it, Malcomb. And yeah, I'm pretty sure there will be more. :)

Thanks again, Reece. I sorta thought it was a winning combination too. :)

Thank you, Trimph. Yeah, me too. I'm in Ontario for the week. Sure is colder here than Mexico! lol

Really glad you liked it, Steve. :)

Thanks Tim. I'm not sure Ed will ever want to work with crazy ol' me again, but he's obviously 'the man' when it comes to mixing! :) Well, he and Danny together. :)

Thanks Paulo. Yeah, can't believe how I scored on this one. :) I listened to that tune last week in passing. I'd never heard it before, AFAIK, so hopefully it's just a happy coincidence. I like mine better though. :)

Robby: left coast again? Man, you get around these days, don't you? Well, I'll try to wait patiently...or maybe I can find another singer. :) It's harder to find you between songs than it was to find Scarlett between husbands. :) But I can wait... :)

GP: Believe me, we went back and forth about all the levels for a couple weeks. And made sure we compromised enough that no one's happy. lol. I can't wait to get back in my studio next week and listen again. But last time I heard it I was pretty tickled. Not sure about Rik yet, but he's being a good sport about it all.

Thanks Jim. Really glad you liked it. It was fun to do after Rik played on it. I almost didn't send it to him cause I didn't even like it before he sent it back to me. Just goes to show ya...you can't live without guitars and guitarists. :)

Thanks Gary. You made me smile. :)

Thanks so much, John. :)

Thanks Anthony. If they do, I wouldn't mind a bit if they want to use this piece. :)

Philip, those guitars have the same effect on me too. :) I had the drums quite a bit more insanely, but Ed wanted to do this more normal version, which I like quite well. Just goes to show you how many different ways a song can go! So glad you liked it. :)

Thank you, Freddy!

Thank you, Rimshot. And welcome to the forum!

Gcolbert: your Christmas playlist? Well, that's an idea. If you want a few more, check my last page (on SC). They're traditional (except for one), but new arrangements. And several stars on this forum play along with me too.

Rik, don't worry... Danny and I have enough hair for all 3 of us (to qualify to be in a rock band.) :) In the meantime, that ocean has inspired several more songs, so just wait till I get back home! :) And I promise they won't all be rocky. :) Thanks for being a good sport!

Really glad you liked it, Tim. If Rik & I have vocals, I'm afraid it won't be one of us...unless my voice lessons suddenly start helping. I'm sure we could find us a singer or two around here, though. If one of us could ever come up with some lyrics. :)

Thanks Jonas. Really glad you liked it.

Boy, have I got some catching up to do on this forum...and it looks like some great songs. I can't wait! Thanks again, all of you. Really appreciate the support. :)

Hi, Janet, Rik, Ed and Danny,

Wow, this was really fantastic all the way around!  Great songwriting, excellent performances by all four of you, and the mixing and production work is top notch and totally pro sounding.

Spectacular collab, guys, very clean, fresh and modern sounding, well done!

This is sooooo John Tesh.  It is awesome.

I love the mix, the changes, everything.  This has "Star" potential.

Honestly, this deserves to be heard by someone with connections.

Great work!

Wow, Lance.  Thank you!  Funny, I just recently discovered John Tesh and Danny thought the opening riff was from him, but I haven't heard it, so we're not sure.  Anyway, whatever John Teshiness you're hearing is probably from all 4 of us together, which I quite like.  Glad you liked it and I wouldn't mind a bit if someone with connections hears it.  :)

Thanks so much Mark!  :)
