In case you may have missed what X1E is....

Copy/paste from a post by Noel Borthwick thread upstairs. I thought it worth repeating for those who might not go upstairs and see it. The post was in the wake of some posts about things working better (or correctly) that weren't specifically fixed, as a "bug fix".... so:

X1E is not X1C. Once you install X1E you no longer have X1C on your system since the X1C files are replaced. X1e is a brand new product with thousands of hours of development invested and very significant changes to the prochannel and effects management areas as well as the typical tweaks and optimizations/enhancements that we do in every major release.

As such its it surprising that some issues that may have existed earlier are resolved. For one they may simply not apply anymore due to the nature of the code changes. They were very significant in some areas.

The original sales pitch was that it was an Xpansion or addition to X1c. It's obviously a very much repaired X1c. The contradictions have been thick. Live and learn I guess.

No, not really-   the download for X1-e comes with the X1c update and it is required before you can install X1-e.

So I would need X1A and X1B on the machine?

no, X1C includes A & B patches.  if you purchase X1-e, then you get the X1C download and are instructed to install that first, then the X1-e upgrade.
