someone tried Focusrite Scarlett 2i2?

I have no experience with Focusrite what so ever, do they have good drivers?

I'm basicly only recording 1 instrument at a time, so I can see now my 8in 8 out is really too much for me :)

Or is it any other 2 input audio interface which is better?
(budget is, well, as low as possible :) )

My needs is:
phantom power xlr in
1 input for bass/guitar (might just be coaxial digital input, I'll use the Pod X3)

1 (or 2) headphone out.
monitor out

I've always preferred PCI audio interfaces, but might be talked into something else...
(my Gigabyte mobo has a T.I. TSB43AB23 chip)

well, noone cared enough to reply :D

    noone tried it?
Or have anything similar to reccomend?

I'm basically recording with headphones so the "zero latency monitoring" option does mean something for me :D

I don't know about this specific unit.  I have a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 recording interface that if it were to die I would replace it with another.

I'm using Windows 7 64 bit.  I've dealt with Focusrite support and they do a good job.

Thanks fireberd, thats a good reccomendation. :)

Always difficult to know how support/drivers are before you actually install the product yourself :)

    Hi Kristoffer,

I have the scarlett 18i6 device. To try to keep it unbiased, I have been one of the few who have had trouble with this, well driver related trouble to be exact but in fairness to focusrite they have tackled this issue with an update. Most of people didnt have this issue so....

Firstly the recording quality is top notch and the rugged design is good and I dont have any other problems with it. Focusrite are a good brand with good customer support to.

I presume that the 2 inputs in you machine can work simultaneously  (i.e. record 2 tracks at one) cos if it didnt, then I would recommend the upgraded version.

    Cian
