New install of Producer 8.5

I got 3 disks.  What's the better way to install the VST's.  Let's say C for the program  D for the audio save and E for the library.  When do I have to tell the VST's library into the E?
I hope my question is clear...

Windows 7 64 bit and I want to install Sonar 8.5 producer in 64bit.  It's a brand new machine.  Last week, I've try and I mist up every thing and I had to format.  So, this time, I restart and I don't want to loose again!

That plan sounds fine (I assume C, D & E are separate disks, not just separate partitions on the same disk). During the install, Sonar will tell you where it wants to install the various pieces, at which time you can change the defaults. After you install your soft synths, you can start Cakewalk and go into Options/Global Options and make sure that all the locations where your VSTs are located are shown in the "VST Scan Folder(s)". If any locations are not shown, click the Add button to put them in. Then click the "Scan VST Folders" to install them in Sonar.

    Good luck.

The you're in the wrong place. This place is for making music with computers and if you've never dealt with tape, then you don't know how good you have it.

Yes Dave, I've been around with tape.  I've work alot in the 70's and the beginning of 80's with that!!!  But, I was only a musician and only asking the engeniers about what I want and sometimes, they would be able to give it to me LOL

Since a month, I've change everything in my studio.  From the computer itself and the converters whitch mean I don't work any more with my sound cards, I had some new pre-amps.  And to put more on the top, I went from 8.5 to X1.
This is alot in the same month.  And I tried to tune my room with accoustic's panels to have a better whwn I record and when I mix.  It's a little bit normal that I am anxious to make music now...
