In search of Nugent?

This is a short clip I recorded a few years back, as a gag for my brother.

He worked for me for about 12 years, during that time I would bring in CD's at least once a week with some lick, partial song or idea.

I would bounce just about everything off of him, you know he's very cool and nicely honest with me, because he' my brother.

Anyways he always was harping at me to cover some Ted Nugent song or licks for him.

I'm not much on doing covers but one late night I decided to whip this up for him.............

Its very basic but I thought I'd throw it up here.

Well, wang dang doodle indeed!  Liked the mix and the sound of the rhythm guitars - bass could be a little higher in the mix imo.  Ted would be proud.

    Hi ABULL,Thanks for listening.

I did this, as kinda a gag for my bro...

Thats why the intro is not Ted...its a song beginning  I tracked one night and did nothing with it. ....then I  thought  I'd record some Nugent, throw in a couple loops to throw my brother off......paste 'em together........and .......this is what came together.

Oh yes........the bass is light because I was so tired that evening I didn't bother to record any.

The opening has good low end because I'm tuned in a drop 6.

lol...love the guitar sound, it's way heavier than anything Ted would use, but works really..some cool riffs in there and a tidy little bit of lead...is it going somewhere this piece?

The lead guitar is the first lead in "Cat Scratch Fever"...........my little high school band used to cover that song and I still remembered most of it (after all these years)........ so I threw it down real quick.

The opening riffs are part of something I was kinda working on and never did anything with.

Thanks, I used  my V-Amp Pro  on this. I did get the distortion a little heavy, you can hear some artifacts in the opening passages.
