panning buss send

I have a piano concerto recorded in three files. In each file,  panning is set for all of the audio tracks of the various instrument sections, such that the field is correct on playback. I have the audio tracks routed to stereo busses to apply appropriate fx chains. In the first two files, the stereo field from the buss outputs is correct. In the third file, all of the audio from the buss outputs is panned center. Any ideas?
 
whoopsie - the master buss was set to mono - it's late here.

    Any chance of a screenshot? Are any of the effects in the third one set to centre?
