It's right up there with the invention of the wheel and sliced bread.

Not exactly, but it will change everything regarding everyday programs.
Example all virus programs will be in x64bit instead. All browsers will be in x64 format. All programs,  htlm codes, strings, scripts will be in x64. Nothing hold the users and the builders back. Flash 32bit technology did hold everything back the last years to a point that many website stoped use it...

Not today. They are busy queuing and buying the iPhone 4S. It's important to buy it on the day of the release. Buying it tomorrow makes it almost worthless. I suspect some will just go to the back of the queue and start queuing for the iPhone 5.

As a recent iPad user it is somewhat disconcerting to browse to a site that can't be viewed or operated due to its singular use of flash.  I want it all:-)

Ah, but you're not supposed to be disconcerted, you are supposed to contact said site owner and explain to them that they should use HTML 5 and Javascript...

And as a web site owner, then have to deal with each major browser's idiosyncrasies... thanks but, no thanks.

I bought an iPhone4 earlier this year (Verizon).  I was due for an upgrade and there was one app that I wanted that was only available for the iPhone.   I had it for three hours (two of those hours on the phone with Tech Support trying to get it working) and returned it.  After the time spent on the phone with Tech support just to get it to work in the Verizon network, on it's own it loaded my entire Outlook 2003 address book - entries that I didn't want and even old deleted entries.  I was told that was the way Apple designed it to work.  It went back to Verizon and I got a Samsung Galaxy S Android phone, which mostly works the way I want it to work, not how Apple says I want it to work.

    Freddy,

Did you see the Toontrack announcement where they mention that the latest Superior Drummer 2 update also works in 32 bit.  The battle is won.
