    LOL.

I think the most significant added feature for me is the MHE (Multiple Hit Emulation).  What this does for you is help with situations where you are simulating a cymbal roll or maybe a roll on an drum instrument.  It seems to back off the stick attack after the initial hit so that you can mimic the sound of the cymbal "wash."   You can go with the factory default settings and it already has a very good "rolled" sound or you can adjust the MHE slider to increase or decrease the effect of the emulation.  Very good feature.

Cymbal aftertouch choke.  I don't use this sort of thing that much but the electronic drummers love it.

Here is the most interesting thing in the announcement.  Very subtle so read between the lines.

Making all your MIDI available right out of the Superior Drummer® interface THE 64 BIT
Make the most out of your computer
Of course it works in 32 bit as well.

64 bit guys rejoice, the battle is won.

This is a nice one indeed. And chocking the cymbals is always satisfying and therapeutic.

Chuck is also part owner of Toontrack, so you bet he hopes you'll love it.

    RE: HHE
If you're looking for this feature, it's a knob in the Instrument section of the construction view.

First impression: ho-hum. I first tried it on some existing tracks where I'd already implemented a similar effect by manually editing velocities. HHE seemed to just blur the hits into an amorphous mush. Next, I tried it on a new test track consisting of just a series of closely-spaced cymbal hits and nothing else. Pretty much the same thing. Varying degrees of mush. I assume that's the desired effect, although I don't see the value yet.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
