Rocky Top (NEW VERSION/MIX)

My co-worker is doing a song project for his daughter's school project. D. did the backing track off site and I recorded the vox and fiddles in my studio. D. and his daughter, Z. on vocals. This is real different and fun with a capital F! Here is the latest version and mix.

Well it's not what I expected when I saw the post? I didn't read it? I just saw the title, and the link and figured "OH BOY! Some classic grass!" LOL!

Yes, yes, guilty? When I see a post from you? I go straight to the song, I don't see the title? (in this case the R&B portion... I only saw the Rocky Top portion?)  I don't see any text you've included? I am a fan? In the truest sense of the word... For me? When I hear one of your songs, it's like opening a present on Christmas morning "as a young child..." I truly value and appreciate your talent Scotty...

Whoa.  This is pretty cool, nice production to boot!  The violin solo around the 2 minute mark was awesome (of course)

    Nice job!

I avoided this because I've played that song one to many times.

It's wouldn't have been so bad like this though. I like it.

    Well done!

I feel your pain. I had to play this song numerous times over the years and I never had so much fun with it as I did on this version.

This is really cool Scotty.  I'm sure you had fun with this.  Great arrangement and my hat's off to the singers too.  Loved hearing you play again too, of course.  :)

And yet another side to Scotty.  I have never played RT but have heard it more times that I could count, and I think that this is absoflippinlutely my favourite version.  Great playing, nice bass lines, and a nice out on the end.
    Most cool sounds.

That is a fun arrangement.  The mix is well done also.

Very creative in a positive way.

Clever arrangement on a very good tune that has been done straight-up too many times.

    Very nice.

What do you think about lending your talents to an arrangment of "Beat Me Daddy 8 to the Bar"?  I may decide to that this winter.
