Antares Harmony Engine EVO Vocal Harmony Generator

Anyone have any experience or feedback on this software. I really want some good harmonies, but software or hardware? This product claims to have the ability to add literally 50 or 100 voices. It will be all studio work in Sonar X1 Producer, no live work.

Thanks

ummm I have it plus the Poco Harmony 4, plus several TC Helicon hardware units the Antares sounds synthetic to me but YMMV...... it takes a lot of work AFA midi control of the harmonies or changing scale/tuning per song... the best unit I have seen is the TC Helicon Voice LIve 1 or 2, rather pricy but great control and realistic harmonies...

Thanks for your feedback; sounds like it's an area where you just ge what you pay for. Really like the idea of software though, but I may hold on until I have the funds for the hardware.

Peace.

It all depends on how many choices you want to subject yourself to. The sound quality of the harmonies themselves are the same in the simplest and most complex versions of the Antares and Voice tone/Live series. I opted for the simplest of both for starters, and am happy with both. Antares EFX and Harmony FX ran about $80 for both and I got the TC Helicon Harmony GXT for ? can't remember...I figured I would do that and in the future upgrade from Autotune 4 to the latest and get the Voice Live 2 later too...but I just don't need all those choices at the moment. For $80 the Antares plugs were a no brainer - and I love them both. oh...you probably know this but Antares is iLok activated.
