pentagon 1

i just installed sonar x-1 studio and cannot use the synth pentagon 1 there is an error message saying it might not have installed correctly...any advise appreciated..thanks in advance......Jeff Gee

    Running SONAR as admin will fix that.

    Right-click the SONAR icon on desktop, select properties, click the Advanced button on the shortcut tab, and place a check mark in the box next to "Run As Administrator."  That will set SONAR up to run as Admin all the time.

    Pentagon 1 and some other soft-synths and effects have problems running unless they are in windows administrator mode (some will actually crash X1).  You may want to determine if you need to use User Access Control on your PC (I advise that you do, but that is just advice).  Thomas has a workable solution if you decide that you do need to run UAC.

    Interesting. I've had the same problem, consistently, with Pentagon being the only VST that won't open [so far as I know]. Good to know there's a work around solution.

    Windows 7 64 bit, Sony Vaio Laptop Q740, 8 GB, Sonar Producer X1d, Focusrite Scarlett 18i, Korg Pa500, M-audio 61 Radium Keystation.
