Respendence Latency Monitor
I saw a reference to the Respendence Latency Monitor on the Windows 7 forum and that is was another option rather than the DPC Latency Checker. Here is the link to the program: http://www.resplendence.com/latencymon I don't have any latency problems but decided to try it to see what it does. At first it noted everything was OK and then gave me a warning that my Wireless NIC (Wi-Fi) interface was causing problems and that I would have dropouts and static. However, I don't have a wireless NIC on my DAW machine and as stated not having any problems, just ran the program for to see how it worked. I would categorize this software as not reliable. (Edited for #$%@ typos).

hey, Jack - someone else posted about this software a while back and it got into a pissing contest when the developer of that software came in and started 'defending' the product. it looks like this software is "not ready for prime time" yet.

I got into that contest with the developer posted about it on the Windows 7 forum in a Latency thread. I downloaded it to see what it was and as I originally posted it's crap. The problems it reports are not really problems. Sort of like the the snake oil registry programs that find 1500 registry "errors" on a scan.

Sort of like the the snake oil registry programs that find 1500 registry "errors" on a scan. If you were interested in this software then let not Mr Fireberd fool you. LatencyMon is a result of state-of-the-art engineering by a developer with a strong background in system software. Despite what Mr Fireberd thinks or says, this software has helped MANY thousands of audio professionals, musicians, djs, system builders, OEMs and driver developers solve their latency problems. The functionality that LatencyMon offers is unique. Running this software is part of the standard support procedure of several respected hardware and software vendors. To verify that, a simple check with Google will point that out IMMEDIATELY. Apparently Mr Fireberd is too lazy to do any research of any kind at all and bases its judgement on nothing but mere gut feeling. That said, it is worrying how an absolute know-nothing can damage one's reputation without leaving any proof of fact or even reasoning.

☄ Helpful
As I am apparently not the only one I don't feel bad. By the way I used to be a NASA Telemetry Programmer for the Apollo project. And, I am a retired LAN/WAN Network and Hardware Help Desk Manager. I have been in computers since 1962 - in every phase, programming, hardware maintenance and operations. You may feel your software is a useful tool and perfect, but in my case it was not. I do not have any of the hardware it stated that potentially is causing "my problems" and and none of the problems it stated I have. I'm not going to get into a "war of words" with you, like has been done previously on this forum. I've stated my opinion of your software and will have no further comment.
