Piano for Kontakt

I'm not a pianist by any means, but do like the sound of a good piano very much. What do you guys think about this Fazioli_Brunei_F308?
(I know Sampletekk also has some very good piano's)

I like the sound of the demos but there's no way I could use a piano with only four velocity layers. For that kind of money, I'd wait until Sampletekk has a 50% off sale and pick up the Old Lady or Emperor if this is the kind of big, grand sound you want.

But it's not just four velocity layers....the technology that the piano is using is a hybrid approach to using small numbers samples and good programming to get the sound (perhaps more along the lines of TruePianos). I don't have any of these pianos, but there are some demo versions for some of the other pianos on their site. You could download one of the demo versions and see if you like it.

I was looking through that website and it looks like a lot has gone into the construction of these piano's.....
I checked out the Blue Stone Piano and here's a quote from them:

"The Revolutionary HD Velocity Layers is a system that extends the traditional 127 Velocity Layers to 65,536 Velocity Layers. This allows for the smoothest velocity transitions ever experienced and really brings that "live" feeling to all of your performances. Together with Scala Tuning System and Piano Legato, they create a remarkable sound, amazing in it's realism!
Have you ever feel dull when you repeat the same note with the same velocity? On BlueStone Piano , which applies HD Velocity Layers, pianists will never have the chance to experience the dull for each notes you played will have a tiny nuance on sound thus there won’t be any exactly same notes on BlueStone Piano."

Regardless of this developer's over the top, ridiculously exaggerated claims about their piano sample library having "the smoothest velocity transitions ever experienced" and them being "world renowned" and "famous," I didn't didn't find any of their demos to be anywhere near the level of quality of even the oldest Sampletekk piano libraries or, really, any of the popular KONTAKT piano libraries. I've never heard of this dev before, but when I clicked on the info to find out about him/her/them I found that Norton has their parent company site listed as a "Malicious Web Site Blocked" (http://safeweb.norton.com...F&siteName=US&pid=1122 ). There's lots of really good KONTAKT piano libraries on the market to choose from. I'd recommend you check them out before pressing the buy button from the dev you linked to. From SampleTekk, NI (Alicia's Keys; I would certainly rank their Akoustik Pianos as vastly superior to the demos from Supreme Piano), Imperfect Samples, Acoustic Samples, Art Vista -- some really nice uprights from Sound Iron and Cinematique Samples. As someone mentioned, Sampletekk has a 50% off sale at least a couple of times a year. If money is tight, I'd look into Pure Magnetik's PM Grand. It's only $12 USD (I don't own it, but it sounds okay, not great, for an inexpensive piano library; I really don't know another KONTAKT piano library so cheap): http://puremagnetik.com/i...nd&catid=76&Itemid=157
