Sonar 8.5 and Oxygen 61 3rd Gen: HELP!!!

Ok, let's give this another try... I have Sonar 8.5 and a brand new M Audio Oxygen 61 3rd Gen. I can't get all buttons to work with ACT... After carefully watching a movie on Youtube (about how to enable ACT with an Oxygen 8) and spoiling a complete evening, I finally managed to get the rotary knobs to work and the sliders too, but none of the buttons can be used... And I need those.

In the controller/surface options screen I selected Oxygen 61 (Preset 10) and set my Oxygen to preset 10. I enabled the blue ACT button and was able to make MIDI LEARN disappear when I pressed an empty spot on the screen and turned a knob. The same for all sliders. However, I did not SEE anything happening like on the video I watched: the only thing that happened was that MIDI LEARN disappeared.

But all the buttons (there are two rows) show various functions already... and I can't click on them to enable MIDI LEARN... and hence the buttons won't work.

I tried loading other presets, but nothing worked. I also 'loaded' default, but then I didn't get rotary knobs to edit...

Is there ANYONE out there who owns an Oxygen 61 3rd Gen and who can use ALL buttons...??? (And why is this so HARD to do?)

BTW I also managed to get the play and stop buttons to work (added a Cakewalk Control Surface). But I need those buttons underneath the sliders to work to!

I don't have an axiom so I have no experience with trying to get one to work with sonar.

since no one else is coming in here to help you, I'd suggest you post this in the hardware forum and see if there are any "bites" there.  you might even post in the X1 forum and just tell them you're trying to get it to work on S8.5 but implementation of that shouldn't be any different in X1 than it is in 8.5.
