I think I want to upgrade to X1, but I wonder...

...if CW will release X1 together with the Expanded stuff as one bundle anytime soon? And then without Z3TA+ 2 (which would make it the Production Suite). I like to get X1 and the Expanded stuff, but it feels a bit odd that a complete upgrade will cost me 99 euro's and that the in comparison small upgrade to Expanded will cost 69 (as a bundle: it would be even more when bought seperately). 69 feels a LOT compared to what I get for that other 99... I could wait for the Suite, but I think that will only cost more and I don't need (or want) Z3TA+ 2...

Maybe it's wiser to wait yet another month or so see what effect the Suite has on other upgrade prices...? I've been fishing for prices elsewhere too, but as usual it's rather useless...  Still, I wonder what to do...


P.S. I did check out other DAW's but I just can't find in other DAW's what Sonar offers... Of course I am used to Sonar but still, as a pure MIDI-musician, spending lots of time editing MIDI-data, it seems Sonar is pretty good. (I considered Reaper and Studio One 2.0 but they seem a bit more limited: the other DAW's are too expensive right now.)

Sonar 8.5 PE, Edirol FA-66, Behringer C-1. All instruments in my songs are VSTi's.

    Hey!


    I read from one of the people in the know (Cakewalk staff) who said that Expanded will always be offered in addition to Sonar - in various flavours - so the Production Suite will be updated in the future as the collection of software is updated. Don't know if this helps you decide but at least, this is what I've heard
