Help - WAV Files Sound Watery/Sluggish

I use Sonar 8.5 Producer, with Cakewalk /Roland UA-25ex. I have an issue when I drag and drop loops into sonar. Some of the wav files don't sound right. They sound as if they are watery/sluggish (for lack of a better terms). However, when I listen to them in Itunes or Windows Media player the loops sound perfect. Can anyone tell me what the cause and fix for this can be. The wav files are 24bit some are acidized and some aren't. Thanks....

    It can be a driver issuue with your Roland, maybe.
    Also, what are your import propeties set at in sonar?

    Thanks, for the reply. My settings are as follows:
     
    Taken from Audio Data Folder..
     
    File bit depth
     
    Record bit depth = 24 bit
    Render bit Depth = 32
    import bit depth = original
     
    Hope this is what you're asking me for. I'm not techinally proficient at these matters.....

    Do the imported clips change tempo when you change the tempo in sonar??

    Yes, however in this particular issue I kept them at the same tempo of the original wav file.

    Depending on the content and the quality of the loop preparation, an Acidized loop might start to sound bad if the tempo of the project is drastically different from the original tempo, especially if it's a lot slower. Try a higher project tempo.

    Non-looped samples should not sound different at all (other than maybe level) if they're using the same interface and monitoring system. Not sure what might cause that.


    EDIT: Oops. I see I missed a bunch of posts somehow. Nevermind about the tempo suggestion.
