    Welcome to the forum.
And what does it read in Options>Audio?
What are the recording and playback devices?
    What drivers are selected?
    What is the driver mode?
Is the Digitech USB recognized by Windows?
Are you trying to record audio in a MIDI track? That won't work.
Have you selected a valid input in the audio track?
Did you go to the Digitech website and download and install the Win 7 64-bit driver?
    http://www.digitech.com/en-US/softwares/gnx4-driver
Being written in 2009 and the device being discontiued, if the driver doesn't work...
Or, are you trying to record the audio output (not USB) of the GNX4 into some other sound card or audio interface?

I now have sound in Sonar 7

Opened Sonar and started New Project NORMAL
First time in I go to
    Options>Audio> and set to ASIO
I get that bad echo when in recording mode.
Sonar will not let me into Options >Audio now
Sonar crashes when I click on Options>Audio to try and change settings.

Error Unhandled Exception Sonar is about to exit abnormally

Also Weird thing is my computer does not see this USB device under My Computer

I can get the Digitech to work and record in Music Creator 6?

    Ugggg

You may be getting a feedback loop that's causing the SONAR audio engine to crash.
Make sure that the signal you're monitoring with headphones or speakers isn't also being sent back to SONAR.

Can't get past AUDIO in the Options
Sonar crashes and makes me close it down.
Looking for a way to reset?
    Uninstall
    Start over?
Can't run this in/out the computer with just the USB cable?

    I are confuzed

Tomorrow everything ends up on the floor
I'll re-install the M Audio sound card and go back to 1/4" plugs
Maybe I should just mike it all into a tape deck?

    Ah ha
    If all else fails
    Get a bigger hammer!

    LOL
Disconnect the audio device and open Sonar
Now it has no audio devices
I can go back into options audio and all is right with the world again.

Except now Windows pops up and tells me I'm drawing to much USB Width and shuts down Sonar.

The M-Audio is going back in tomorrow
    I tried

    Solved the issue
I am running the Digitech stand alone No USB or other inputs except my instruments.
    Installed the M-Audio 192 soundcard
Plug the Digitech 1/4" outs into the soundcard
Run the Fostex monitors out of the soundcard

Turn on Sonar and open the M-audio control panel
    Set up my Audio settings.
    The rest is easy

     Thank you for your help
    I go play now!
