Can't give you much guidance Jeroen, 'cos this stuff is beyond me, but I really enjoyed the piece. Very nice samples you're using. Mix sounds fine through my headphones. Good dynamics and a fine composition.

Nice tune... Have you heard of this place? >>> http://composersforum.ning.com/ It's a place where "composers" hang out. Ron Ferguson from here writes this style, perhaps a bit darker, and turned me on to this site. He keeps his music posted there.

I like it a lot. My gripe with people scoring for movies these days is the lack of motion. While there is motion as far as a melody or the setting of the mood, they lack supporting motion or counter-motion. To me, it seems thin musicly. That's just me though. If you listen to John Williams stuff vs. to other stuff today, you'll see what I mean. Williams' music tends to have a lot going on to support the melodies. I always give this advice and I think it's great advice. If you want to score for movies etc, "listen to Looney Tunes." Seems funny but take my word for it. I like it! Well done!

Sounds good to me - I'm no expert on arranging orchestral music (I'm always waiting for a purist to shout at me when I do try) but nothing sounded unrealistic to me or unplayable, and the music itself was well composed and thought out. Cheers, Terry.

Is this made with Albion? Wow! Never heard it before - sounds great! And good work with it. I think there's a little too much just long tones in the Celli and bass section, and that's fine for the start and the ending. I wouldn't mind a little more movement below so to speak during the middle parts. The climax is pretty good as is but would have had greater effect if there were some more movement supporting the melody before and after. No biggie but for the piece to really rise on its own I kind of see this. Arrangement is perfect! And the melody is really nice. and the programing of the orchestra is nice. perhaps slightly overwhelming at times but that's just nitpicking All in all well done, I really enjoyed it And I'm currently enjoying other stuff on your soundcloud

Thanks for listening and the comments! It's my second attempt at creating something with Albion (and yes, it's all Albion and nothing else). I am still having quite some problems with getting the dynamics right: there is a sweet spot in the samples where things suddenly get too loud or too soft and I can't really get it right. I understand your movement remarks: that's a good one indeed! I have to remember that. (I won't change it in this tune anmore because it's just a demo. Then again... all my tunes are demo's...) And overwhelmig, well, it's cinematic music, so what else did you expect. Thanks for listening to the other stuff too: I have all my songs on Soundclick still, but should move some more (not all!) to Soundcloud, which is far more accesible imho.

I have to check out this Albion. It sounds pretty good! he he, cinematic should be overwhelming for shure! But what I meant was that at one point in there it sounded like the different sections were fighting a little to be heard. But seriously, it's pretty good so like I said;I'm just nitpicking. I really enjoyed the piece. I follow you on Soundcloud now. Yes, it's much better than Soundclick. Looking forward to hear more of your stuff;)
