REALLY want (back) the per-level snap!

im liking expanded more and more. seems like a lot of the issues i had are now resolved. thanks cake!

but i am stiill dying about this simple one: if you have "measure" for snap set at regular track view, and you double click on a midi clip (for drum programming for example) it should resort to the last used snap level for clips like that (for me, 1/16th notes)... am i missing something?

ps. also as a sidenote-- this may be a similar fix, im now seeing that when i click and drag a midi clip that DOESNT have a midi note starting at the 0 time of the measure (ie, an 8th note later or so) it will snap that clip backward to the start of the measure you drag it to in its downstream destination. NOT COOL.
workaround: selecting that clip via the measure numbers at the top (ie '1-9') fixes this, but still...

Change Snap mode from Snap To to Snap By.

EDIT: Also, I just checked, and PRV snap resolution is being remembered when I close it and open a different clip in PRV. This is not working for you? Or maybe you are not yet aware of the separate PRV snap settings...? If so, see the grid button in the upper right corner of the PRV.

It was added with X1c. But, as noted by dlesaux, there is a bug that it doesn't currently work with drum maps, just so you know.
