TIME ALIGN

I may be way behind on this,  I was watching a tutorial using Pro tools and they were using a Time Alignment tool to compensate for adding "plugins/FX" on individual tracks (that are grouped) ...causing the tracks to play slightly out of sync without it.

What I am trying to say is every time you add a plugin it adds a little more time for the signal to pass thru it ...
....more plugins or processing = more time, there seemed to be an auto-calculator that told what the delay time was for that track and then they put a "time adjuster" plugin on the other tracks in the group that did not have fx and entered the same delay amount..thereby all tracks in the group had the same amount of delay.

What happens in Sonar X1 Pro? How does Sonar handle this? It doesn't sound like I have issues..should I be concerned at the amount of plugins and this "time alignment"?

Sonar has had Latency Compensation, aka Time Align, for years and years. PT is just now catching up and is trying to brag about it. Sonar automatically accounts for such latencies "behind the scenes" and you never have to worry about it.
