DXpad

All of a sudden good old DXPad is crashing Sonar 8.5. I tried installing the latest version into Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, it won't install. Anyone have this the crashing problem? Searched the forum, didn't find anything.
 
Damn, I really like DXpad.
 
Anything out there similar?
