Plugin issue, any ideas?
I have another post on this but, I cannot seem to get issue resolved. I thought I would try from the top and try to be clearer. Forgive me for adding this post.
Ok, my X1c Plugin issue.................. I am having an issue with a couple plugins (Miroslav Philharmonik and AAS Lounge Lizard).
The issue is they are listed in the DXi section of the plugin list but do not actually work. A window pops up that says "Cakewalk missing plug-in stand-in". "The plugin is missing or improperly installed" (you all know the window I am sure).
Now, they do show up under under vst and work fine but, I wanted to remove them from the other list....just because. In an email to Cakewalk, I also mentioned the plugin manager and how they were not listed so I could not keep them from showing up this way. Sadly, cakewalk responded and suggested removing them from the plugin manager. Lol. It took a while for a response so...I guess they are busy and blast through emails fast....without reading.
So here is where I am.
I removed everything from the scan. So, when X1 opens, it does not scan any folders. Starting with lounge lizard, I uninstalled the program in control panel. I removed any folders/names I could find on my PC. I made sure nothing was listed in the registry (that I could find that is). I have done all that my tiny little brain can think of.
Leaving the scan empty, I opened X1 and......IT IS STILL LISTED in the DXi section. So how can I get rid of this? What am I missing? Does anyone know of a spot this may be hiding? I have done a search for any .dll files and various lounge lizard names/extensions on the computer...I cannot find anything. Clearly, there is still something somewhere. I assume anyway.
I have tried reinstalling and have been through all of the above a few times. Nothing helps.
I guess I am looking for 1 of 2 solutions. I can deal with finding a way to make the DXi work, then simply keep the vst out of the scan. Or, find a way to remove the name from the DXi section.
Any ideas at all? This is driving me nuts.
Thanks.
