SPS 66 FA 66 Macbook Pro Help needed :(

Ive read elsewhere on the forums that the sps and the fa are the same models just different paint.Has anyone had any experience setting up the sps 66 model on a macbook pro running snow leopard. I know the FA model is supposed to work but I cant get the sps model to be recognised or is it even compatible with a mac .Any input would be really appreciated
