ACT trouble with hidden tracks

I thought for a while I was going crazy (er) but now realise what is happening............

If I have a track hidden ACT does not work correctly with the PC (and possibly other VSTs). Sometimes it will control a different channel to the active ones, other times it seems not to work at all even though I can see the parameters changing in the ACT properties box. I guess it is then controlling the hidden tracks.

Changing the controller settings to control "all strips" seems to fix the problem but then I have hidden tracks visible to the MCU which is just as bad if not worse. It seems as if ACT is ignoring my "Control Strips Visible in" setting in preferences while non ACT surfaces are following them so I'm always at a compromise. Anyone else see this issue?

Very annoying.............

ACT ignoring "Control strips visible in" setting

  • Attach a MCU and an ACT controller
  • In preferences->control surfaces set "Control strips visible in" setting to Console View or Track View.
  • In the track view manager  enable "Keep track & console views in sync"
  • Hide a track
  • On the active track in the inspector click on an element of the PC to control via ACT and try to control the PC.
  • Unhide the track and repeat.

Expected

I would expect to be able to control the PC on the selected track when a track is hidden

Actual

The ACT control has either no apparent affect or controls a different track to the active one.
