Roland R Mix ! Has any one had a shot or seen this product yet ?

  Hi all
I am Curious to find out if any one has seen a demo or been lucky enough to try the Roland R Mix yet ?
http://www.roland.co.uk/p...uctdetails.aspx?p=1176
If I am reading this right it looks like this could be a great tool.
If I am reading it right this would mean I could take out drum tracks / Guitar tracks / Bass tracks from songs and use them for teaching videos and practicing ?
If I am right in this I think it will be a awesome tool and will Pre order now
Is there any other software out there that would allow me to be able to remove a drum track from a song ?
Thanks to all Norrie

    Norrie,

there was a thread about Rmix a month or so ago.  I think it was mostly speculation, since the product ain't out until Jan., but you can do a search.

The video makes it look really cool huh? If I understand it correctly you can isolate (for instance) two different acoustic guitar tracks and remove either or both  if they have different placement in the stereo field (which some people seem to consider impossible), remove the drumtrack... I like that a lot because drums are my weak suit and I wont mind using a drumtrack I like in a project or a cover, heck, remove and part or parts. It really looks like an amazing tool. It raises "borrowing" to a whole new level, laff.

If you get it I hope you will write and post a review.

     Hi Julien

I am going to give Roland a cal tomorrow and see if I can place an advanced order.

Sure thing I will do a couple of videos once I get it.

I think this will be a great tool to take the drums out for my students and also as fun for me to play to overs

This is the only thing I can really see myself using it for.

How ever it could act as a good tool for remixing tracks for bands that dont have access to there original project for instance if they wanted to re do a guitar track or drums etc.

Could be very interesting and cant wait to get it in my hands
