Tape sim--Kramer MPX or what

Hi all:  I'm looking for recommendations for a good (Great) Tape Sim effect.  I do not (yet) have a UAD card so the Studer 800 is not in the picture (yet).

What are the others to consider?  Waves Kramer Master Tape looks enticing, but what others should I consider before purchase.  My reservation with the Waves KMT is that it is 32 bit.  I prefer 64bit, but that is not absolute.

So what else is out there that is good, or Great?

I like my Kramer MPX plugin.  But I like my Magnetic plugin even more.  Better price.  Better sounds.  Magnetic.

Actually, Waves has the Kramer MPX on sale for $99.  Nomad Factory has the Magnetic for $129, but DontCrack sells it for $99.  Now comes the test apples to apples, oranges to oranges, tangerines to ......  I am downloading the demos of both now to compare the two.

Let us know what you think. I've got Magnetic and love it; especially on drums/drum buss.

I will.  I am probably leaning toward the Magnetic because it it native 64bit and the Kramer is from Waves & 32 bit.

I played with both the Magnetic and the Kramer MPX for several hours on a couple of mixes.  My first or maybe its the second, impression is that the Magnetic is warm and round and perfect for adding "analog warmth" to a mix; whereas the Kramer MPX has more "character" and "complexity" to the sound--yes warm, but not that round warmth of the Magnetic.

I want both!  I want the Magnetic for a great tube warmer; I want the Kramer MPX to bring out the complexity of the signal.  Yes, I did put both together on the Master bus and it was ideal for my ears.  The Magnetic gave the warmth and the Kramer made it interesting and brought out the character of the sound.  The total CPU hit was minimal.

I have been using Waves Kramer MPX for a few weeks and must say it sounds as near as I've heard from my tape days. I use Windows 64 bit and Sonar X1c 64 bit and have had no problems on working !
