NI's Komplete 8 includes Studio Drummer, a new "library" within the Kontakt 5 sample player, which is also available separately. I've found Studio Drummer a heck of a lot easier to work with than Cakewalk's Session Drummer 3.

Here's the product page for Studio Drummer http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/products/producer/powered-by-kontakt/studio-drummer/

Ugo Audio's Ironhead - drum synth if you are doing any kind of electro.

It looks like only the older Session Drummer 2 is sold seperatly (in fact they are almost giving it away! ) Unfortunatly it looks like the much better Session Drummer 3 is only availabe as part of the Sonar X1 Producer package.

SD 3 is a very good product with a decent range of kits, some of the specalist offerings from FX expansion and Toontrack have it beat but at a price. Be aware that some of the 3rd party expansions are not as fully featured or complete as the BFD or Kontakt equivelents, but they are considerably cheaper too.

IMHO Best deal for good drums at the moment is FX Expansions BFD Eco at $29

Session drummer is pretty decent but there are better, even intelligent drum synths around.

Have a look in the software forum... there seems to be a lot of discussion on drum programs right now.
