While I Still Can - flute/guitar/vocals live recording
Here is a live recording of one of my songs - While I Still Can. This is the first time we'd tried it like this (flute, guitar, vocals) and it is a bit rough round the edges, particularly the beginning, and it takes a while for the tempo to settle. The lyrics are a bit ambiguous. Didn't you know that I could fly, at least until I hit the ground Didn't you see me waving When I went past your window Didn't you know that I could fly, I found out on the way down Please forgive the intrusion As I go down past your window Flying fast Fallng faster I didn't know that I could fly, until I hit the ground While I still can While I still can http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_10858086 (original link has been changed)

Loveing the flute, not enough flute in music these days, so who did you hire, Ian Anderson or Ray Thommas, only kidding but that is some sweet sounding flute. As a live recording, I'd be happy with that and the acoustic rythem playing is spot on. my only problem is the vocals, they IMO don't fit the style of music because everything else is right in your face the vocals need to be either less in your face or you needed to sing with your head voice or with just a bit of nasal, I am saying this because everything is in the low mids and if you sang with a higher nasal voice it would have given a really nice seperation, almost like a chord, the acoustic being the bottom end of the song, the flute the middle of the song and the vocal on top. Hope I didn't come accross as too much of tool on this one. Great job, Peace Ben

The flute sounded like Tull. Well played too, I might add. Be careful jumping off buildings..... gravity is a PITA at times. Good song.

Nice Tull sound to the flute. Sweet song all the above comments made so I will not reiterate. Thanks for sharing.
