Song For My Aunt Mary Lee

I recorded this for my 87 year old Aunt that hasn't ever heard me play anything. She loves Merle Travis so I came up with this. I know the playing is sloppy but it's what she would hear if I was sitting in front of her with my guitar.

Wow, Bill, I had forgotten howe talented you are.  his is a foot tapper and a pleasure to listen to.  I wish I could even get close to that kind of accuracy.  Sloppy is sometimes in our head.  No one would notice if it was because it is so much fun!

    Hi Bill,

Great playin', man! This is like a mini-encyclopedia of cool licks

    Very nice.

Way cool Bill.. Hot-licks-a-plenty... I know a few Travis licks, but I can't play 'em that fast...

Thank you all so much for listening. My family has lost a wonderful woman. My Brother-in-Law's mother passed away Saturday night and preparations are being made as I speak. We're in Tenaha Tx. for the funeral.

My Aunt received my MP3 yesterday but thinks it's Chet Atkins. Her daughter ,cousin Angie, has told her about me playing and she was very surprised saying "When did Junior learn how to play a guitar?". That makes me smile.

    Bill,
    I enjoyed listening to this.
Those banjo rolls you slid in there were tasty.
You inserted a bunch of cool licks in there.

No apology necessary Bobby. No offense taken at all. I posted a Christmas song too. If you get a chance go take a listen. It was played from the heart!
