SWITCHED BACK TO SONAR 8.5PE!
It's much better on SLOW CPU's and in case of GLOBAL WARMING! (YOU MUST HAVE A COPY OF SONAR 8.5PE in case in EMRGENCY! -Shawn Lee Farrell You can do pretty much anything you want on a 500mghz machine! (Multi-tracks, effects, vsts's, etc...THE WHOKE BALL OF WAXOLA!)

WAIT! YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT THE FUTURE BRINGS AND IF YOU BREAK OR HAVE STOLEN YOUR EXPENSIVE SUPER DESKTOP OR UBER LAPTOP AND CAN ONLY AFFORD A 500-1200mghz one CPU machine to replace it YOU MAY SWITCH BACK TO SONAR *.5PE! (or if you get a NETBOOK!) -Shawn ;) :: :0 In the future Mocirosoft and apple may BAN fast processor production to save the planet from GLOBAL WARMING!!! (Better have SONAR 8.5PE!!!!!) -Shawn Lee

FACT: With just 500mhz SONAR X USERS you could put out your own DIGITAL ALBUM with MULTI-AUDIO TRACKS, EFFECTS (like THE EXCELLENT BOOST11) and VST'S (LIKE RAPTURE!) ON ITUNES PRODUCED WITH SONAR 8.5PE! (in your PARENTS BASEMENT!)

I'm up to the latest Sonar Professional on a dual core 2.0GHZ laptop with a maximum 3GB of ram and Windows 7! It's beginning to feel the stress of my virtual instrument collection! I keep all my Sonar versions for the same reason, you never know what computer is going to up to the job! I have cakewalk Pro 8 (before that it was cakewalk Dos), Sonar Home Studio 6, Studio 7, 8, 8.5, X2,X3 and now Sonar Professional! If cakewalk streamlines it's code a bit, much like Steingberg does with it's current version of cubase, we won't have to switch up versions at all!
