Importing audio problems

  Is there a way to turn down the trim ( for lack of others words) when importing audio files ? I have found nothing in the import process with this option. I tried converting them from MP3 to . wav , tried a compressor and nothing fixes the problem. Evergreen

    if you're just importing audio files then no, you can't automatically import at a lower volume.  can you give us more details on what you're doing exactly and what the problem is exactly?

     On just this one imported file I am getting clipping. I removed some of the clips by using the cut tool and deleting but there should be another way, I hope.

    but sonar doesn't increase the gain on import.  so it was recorded that way and there's no way to remove digital clipping from an already recorded track.

    I had a feeling that was the answer. If I remove the problem with the cut / delete method I soon run out of audio with so many holes in the track. Thanks for the help, Evergreen
