Editing/Automation question

Hi, the band I'm mixing wants me to edit 2 bars out of the middle of of their song.  The only problem is, I'm deep into the mix, with tons of automation on both the tracks & the busses.  

I know the automation on the tracks will be ok, but I'm concerned that if I edit these 2 bars out, the automation on the busses will no longer synchronize with the rest of the track...
Am I right in thinking this, or is there something I can do to avoid having to re-do all the buss automation post-edit?
