Nudge not Nudging

Hi. I think I'm going mad!
My nudge has suddenly stopped working in X1C. It's not the keyboard as nudge is working fine in 8.3.1
My preferences remain the same as always, but it refuses to nudge.

What could I have missed or bumped?
Many thanks

IIRC, I had to deliberately keybind all the nudge key combos when I first got X1.

EDIT: But if it just stopped working for you, it might be that you have numlock on...?

FWIW I can't get the nudge to work on the default keybindings, they never have, but nudge does respond to  my new bindings. I think in my case it is my keyboard though, I use a track pad/number keypad combo and I've always assumed it's that.

Thanks. I'll give it a go resetting them. However, I've had no issue with nudge till this morning. Is it just me, but since moving to X1C in June, I seem to be spending more time tweaking than working. Going back to 8.3 is like leaping into a sports car. Grumble, grumble, moan!

That's all a matter of opinion and been done to death more than once a hundred times in the last week alone. Many share your sentiment, I personally find it a big improvement but it does take a bit of learning to get the best out of it.

I opened 8.5 last week and felt lost TBH. YMMV of course.

I've been using it for several months and didn't find it particularly hard to adjust to. I've been adjusting to Cakewalk for 17 or 18 years. It's not that. It's just that, at times, it feels like a big bloated beast with a mind of its own :-)

Anyway, I have reassigned the nudge and midi will now nudge in the PRV  but nothing nudges in the track view. What could I be missing?

Edit: Under Process/ Nudge I can nudge using a mouse, but not my keypad.

So it works with the keypad in the PRV but only with the mouse in TV
    Thanks

Did you make your keybindings in the Global context?

Yes I did, thanks. I've just reassigned nudge to my top row of numerals, mirroring the keypad. This all works. However infuriating thing is that the keypad was nudging both PRV and TV until this morning, now only the PRV. Never mind, I can keep working.
    Thanks all.

Snap, great minds must think alike. It's working okay here, or was last time I used it. Have you tried a restart?

Yip. Tried rebooting, changing keyboards, got the All Blacks in to have a go and not even that worked. I'm going to try pouring light ale over it now.

Good plan. When all else fails, apply beer directly to the wound.

Damn! The 0 on the keypad disables the keypad Nudge! Am I the only one not to know that? Lot a damn help you girls are! Now I'm going to end it all!

Oh yeah the keypad 0. LOL, that puts you in an "enhanced edit mode".

I got myself into that the other day and had some very strange (intended if you know it's on) results. One of which was clips splitting nowhere near where I wanted them too.

As soon as you mentioned numeric keypad that should have sent some bells ringing in my head. I didn't try beer, but I did consider throwing it through the window to see if that helped.

Don't be too hard on yourself lad. 9 times out of 10 blaming X1 is a valid plan of action.
