UA-1G 1khz bleed over into audio path

I don't own any other USB audio device but imagine the problem I'm having is common to any USB audio interface. 
 
When connecting the audio out to an external amp, a 1hz whine is present.  I found running a extra ground from the UA-1G to the amp helps, but doesn't quite eliminate the noise. 
 
Is there anything available that could be placed inline to help notch out this noise? Is this common to other USB devices? As it is now, I could not use this in a live setting.  This completely throws my plans off track.
 
Invest in a better USB audio interface? I've been very pleased with the UA-1G....until now.

    I have had trouble with 1kHz noise and USB using my keyboard.  anytime one of my keyboards is connected via USB to the computer, I get a 1kHz "pulsed" tone (the pulse is at about 60cycles) through the speakers.  this happened with 4 different DAWs, 4 different keyboards, and 2 different soundcards and various combinations of each of those.

    I still don't have it resolved.  I"m wondering if a DI box will help.

    Thanks Reece, Did you try the external ground clip between devices?  It really knocks the level down but it's still present.  I have a few people looking into it.  You helped me confirmed it, this is a common problem.

    yes, and it did lower the "volume" but it's still there.

    my work around has been to stop using USB on my keyboard and I'm now using my MIDI ports to my soundcard.  that has brought the volume way down to a "workable" level.  I have a LOT of USB connections on my computer, there may be others "helping" cause the problem.

    I put a DI box on my keyboard and now the noise is gone.
