Cpu Usage... How much it too much?

My computers stats are in my signature and some of my newer projects are getting more and more involved. more tracks, more plugs, more buses, alternate routing, Ez drummer, etc.  I am getting up around the 30-33% mark at times.  Though I am not having any problems, should I be getting concerned?  Time to start saving up for a bigger daw? or am I ok?  Thanks in advance!

    I find that once a project is averaging around 50% or more, then I do start to get problems with spikes of CPU activity and the occasional drop out. I imagine this is very system-specific though, and I doubt there is a good rule of thumb.

    If you're not having problems, then you're not having problems, ultimately. If you do start to have any though, I wouldn't start by thinking of getting a whole new machine. Going above 4gb ram can have a surprising effect on performance.

    I had a project that used up  about 75% of a amd duo cpu without any problems(with the buffer maxed out).
