A song I wrote and recorded in 2003.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I don't believe I've ever posted this tune anywhere. I wrote and recorded this in 2003 during a very emotional period. My then 24 year old daughter got into a very bad auto accident and after coming back from the hospital - I went into my little studio and wrote this very quickly in one sitting.

I used some of my older equipment - I think I was still taking guitar lessons at the time - probably not the best recording I've ever done - but it has always meant a lot to me.

There is no real significance to the title - it doesn't really have anything to do with my daughter - it's just a title.

Thanks for taking a listen to CATALINA TWILIGHT.

And yes, Krissy survived the accident and is now a healthy 33 year old young lady.

This is very sweet. Nice job.

My only nit is the frequencies of everything. Everything has the same high clicky freq. If you added to any high end freqs, I would remove. Take the clik out of the kik. Notch out some space for each instrument.
I'd like to hear it flat.

    Thanks all.

Tim the original tracks are long gone. I had a computer crash after this and lost all of my original tracks to this (and other) songs. So, this is it - no tweeking.

    Thanks again.

Beautiful guitar instrumental MarK! Shimmering tone!

I like the clean, open recording as well.

    Hi, Mark,

I almost missed this one, but I'm sure glad I didn't!

Absolutely beautiful clean tone, great playing and very tasty solos with a nice mix that seems to portray the emotional solitude that you were experiencing when you wrote and played it.  It sort of reminds me of sitting in a small basement jazz cafe at a front table very close to the musicians, and feeling every note.

Wonderful stuff, buddy, thanks for posting it!
    Bob
