FA-66 low signal on rear RCA input

Hello I just got a Yamaha MG82CX mixer, it has a RCA record output that I connected to rear input on FA-66. I tried to get decent signal using that stereo RCA input but I still can't, I got almost nothing of audio and if I turn atenuator to max I get something but mostly horrible noise. I thought it was a defective mixer but yesterday I tried the same process using a Profire 610 rear line inputs (not front preamps) and I got decent audio signal so that I finally could record. The problem, I bought FA-66 because its RCA stereo unbalanced input just like MG82CX record output, Profire 610 is balanced and I think I am losing audio quality. Does anyone know if it is possible to record from MG82CX and FA-66?

I found the problem, it was a bad cable
I don't understand but the same RCA cable (adding 1/4 TS adapter) works fine with Profire 610.
Audio sounds decent now using the preamps of MG82CX, I don't like FA-66 preamps, however I need to turn attenuator of input 3-4 to almost max.
