Live Dylan cover.....Knockin' on Heaven's Door

This is one that I pulled out of my archive files recorded this summer.
Randy Stephen's (friend) playing with The Tribe at Bike night.  You can hear
bikes in the background.      I dug this out because Randy (I think) is a fabulous
guitar player.      Just wanted to share .

    Hey, Tim,

Wow this is really a dynamite recording and mix!

You managed to capture the energy spark of a true live performance and also produce a really well detailed, clean, fresh sounding mix.  The bass sounds sooooooo much better on this one.  I have some major label live albums on cd that I wish sounded this well detailed.

Dynamite job, Tim, those guys are gonna be thrilled when you wrap up this cd!

    Very cool!

Thanks for the memories. It's great when something this good invokes some really good times in your life.

    Very well done!

I may get my buddy Mike to sing this for me. :)

That tune was out when I was in the Marine Corps. Early 70's because when I hear it, it always takes me back to the USO where I would go and rent a guitar for a few hours..... that song was one of the ones that was popular there.

Nice raw mix. Warts and all.... ! Kinda wish I had some of the stuff I was playing back then.....on tape somewhere..... I do have a few old mixer board cassettes from bands that were after that time period.... newer but still 30+ years ago.

I might have to pop some of them up here if I get that old wild hair thing going and get reminiscing a bit.

Excellent performance and recording.  Really good for live.  Great seperation and great chemistry happening between the players.  The guitar tone is great.

Tim, you did a good job on this one.  I think it's the best live recording you've presented yet.  Good song.  That guy Dylan should have been a poet.  Ha!  I enjoyed listening to this.

    Classic cover!

I may pull a little FX off of the guitars? But I can't comment realistically because it's on notebook speaks :-(

And you have a chick! Good for you!! I'm a big fan of chicks singing.

I really enjoyed this all the way around, the guitar work was suburb to me. And the vocals were spot on.

All you need is love, just ask the Beatles?
