Jimmy This sounds really nicely mixed the only crits I have ain't cause anything is wrong it's just some of the positioning across the sound-stage I'd tweak a bit. I'm listening on cans so I may be way off here but the acoustic strums seem a little too wide left and the piano when it comes in seems too wide right I'd probably narrow them slighty nearer centre and just move the lead a tad out right. Aside from that it all sounds really well recorded and put together. Nicely done.

Hi Jonbouy, Thanks much for your review! I did the panning intentionaly that way for the acoustic based on some old Beatle mixes I have been into lately. No problem at all bringing wings into center a little more. I am happy that the overall is good to you. I need to start trusting something here in my house and your feedback is vital. Thanks for your help and kind words. Rimshot

I think the mix and eq are spot on. I didn't notice the stage positioning until Jon mentioned it, but having been mentioned I tend to agree with him.

Some Bakersfield sounding country rock. The guitar reminded me of Yokum's playing a bit. I like it. I'd love to see more music like that recorded these days..... pure country from the heart.

Hey Rimshot, GREAT classic country. I could hear this being played during the credits of a movie. Don't ask me why, it just had that vibe. I really enjoyed the lyrics. Like Herb said "pure country from the heart". Mix sounds great on my end. I really liked the panning you did. It adds character and gave it that classic 60's-70's recording vibe. KUDOS! Kev

Thanks much Kev. I think you hit on the style I was going for and it makes me feel great that you did! I have a bunch of these kind of songs and I wanted this one to launch the project. I feel encouraged by all. Rimshot

Not my favorite style. I like this stuff live but could never get into it just listening to it. Maybe it's the energy of live performances? Everything sounds really good to me. Maybe give the bass drum some more volume. Well done!

Thanks Guitarpima! I appreciate your feedback even if when you are not into the style. This is one of the great things about our forum that we can appreciate what others are trying to do even if it's not our favorite. I am happy to know that it sounds good to you. Thanks. Rimshot
