SSL X-PATCH

Anyone out there using this?  I'm thinking about asking Santa for it...

Hard to find good, detailed, user reviews (as opposed to YouTube clips or professional reviews).

Thanks

It won't be out till the end of January. It looks like a patch bay controled by the daw. I wonder if it will operate separate from a soundcard sort of like FXTeleport? It's definitly for hooking up all your outboard gear.

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

It's a digitally controlled (but all analogue path, i.e., no conversion anywhere) patchbay.  Once rack gear is plugged in, you can route and re-route hardware chains from the desktop (and recall them as presets) without any physical patchbay plugging.

It looks cool as hell - and I should add that it's been out for a while (I believe) - but I can't find any "real-world" users reviewing/commenting on it.

I think Santa takes returns (?)  If I get it, will report to the forum asap (i.e., couple of months to figure out if I can figure it out, etc...)

Didn't SOS have a review on it?  Or maybe another such product.  Check their website - any article more than a couple of months old is available.

Update on this, works as advertised.  Absolute incredible as far as I'm concerned.  No effect on Sonar from the software and no glitches so far.  Amazing product if you have a bit of outboard gear.

    Just a PSA/FYI...

    Stuff.
