    Hi, Rik,

Beautiful playing with wonderful guitar tone and a haunting melody!  To me it sounds like it would fit perfectly as an interlude for a romantic scene in a movie soundtrack.

    Great stuff, my friend!

LOVELY! Sorta reminds me of Tarrega's "Capricho Arabe" but yours is less melancholic. Very nice.

Sounds like nylon string to me. Very pretty.

Maybe I should consider turning on the recorder when I set around and noodle on the guitar a bit.

    I liked it.

Hi Bob , thanks for listening, glad you like the cinematic qualities ; )

Hi Malcolm, thanks, you are a poet, Sir.

Hi Dena, thanks for listening, glad you like it.

Hi Herb, always push the record button BEFORE you start noodling, I've lost absolute masterpieces before I figured that out ; )

    Hi Rik,

Lovely. Peaceful, relaxing, and elegant. When are you putting all your noodlings on an album?

    Cheers,

Beautiful, Rik.  I'm not nearly as poetic as Malcolm, (which is probably why I don't write many lyrics), but this is really nice.

Anyway, I like this.  We should collab sometime.  :)

Hi Terry, thanks. As soon as the record company hands over a big wad of cash as an advance, I'll make an album. ; )

Hi Mark, thanks. Yep, way past 21.... ; )

Hi Janet, thanks. Are you sure piano and guitar MIX well ? ; )

Hi Danny, thanks. Only two chords ? Not bad ; )

Wow, beautiful piece, especially for an improv Rik. Gorgeous guitar sound too, and the ambience is perfect.

Sounds really good. Was this recorded direct or with a microphone? Was any compression used, or are you just that good?

Nice Rik! Sounds like a great bit of improv to me. It would be nice to hear you work it out and make it even better. :)

    Well done!

Hi J, well, at least two like it ; )

Hi James, thanks, it's a nice sound isn't it .

Hi Tim, had to look up unencumbered , you're right ; )

Hi bitflipper, this is part of an ongoing experiment to get rid of the di'd sound of my di'd guitar ; ).  It's usually to noisy for me to record with a mic. Either I'm to noisy, chronical bronchitis, or the traffic, neighbours etc,etc...  This is two tracks of di'd guitar. One mono with a bit of compression set up just to catch a stray spiky note and a bit of reverb on a ambience setting to simulate some space. One stereo track, well simulated stereo by using Voxengo Stereotouch vst. TCElectronic m30 freeware reverb on a bus for both tracks, a little for the mono track, a lot for the stereotrack ; ). Eq is mainly a highpass to get rid of the "thump" you get with di'd guitar and a dip at 1 khz to make it sound more "natural" ; )

Hi Robert, thanks for listening, working on a tremolo section so maybe ...

I am in awe of people who can consistently record a natural-sounding acoustic guitar using just microphones. Using the pickup avoids so much aggravation that I don't consider it cheating. But when it works you just can't beat the real sound of wood ringing out in a nice room.

Nevertheless, whatever you're doing, Rik, it's sounding great.

Good played. :) ... and i like the idea of improvisation... hit the button n just do it!

...and it is good sounding too. I would consider to remove or drastically lower the reverb though. Give it a try:)

Hi Bitflipper, glad you still like the sound, since I don't have a nice room, mic or guitar ; )

Hi Larry, thanks, just a happy "accident", again : )

Hi Bengt, thanks for listening, if I would take away the reverb this tune would just disappear ;)
