Music Creator 5 hangs after 4 play / stops.
Hello,
Cakewalk Music Creator 5 has exhibited bugs from time to time but normally it wasn't something a reboot wouldn't temporarily fix.
Today, however, it has become unusable. Fortunately, I can reproduce the problem.
Here's what it does. With or without any audio or synths, after starting and stopping MIDI playback (even if the current part being played is entirely empty) exactly four times, when stopping playback the fourth time, the application hangs. It can be any file that's open, even if all VST and DX plug-ins are disabled, even if there is nothing in the portion being played, it hangs after the fourth playback stop.
Here are the details of the hang, provided by Windows:

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and my sound card is a RealTek onboard chip. Additional details can be provided if needed. Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.
I'm stuck with this huge project in limbo now and am so frustrated I could cry. You guys have been really helpful in the past so hopefully someone has come across this issue before.
UPDATE:
I have done some more experimenting and I've narrowed it down to a single setting in MC5.
If "Zero Controllers When Play Stops" is checked, this undesired behavior manifests itself. If left unchecked, the application functions normally.
I'm not sure if I ever used this setting before but I *think* it has been the default option on new projects. Anyway, this seems to be the cause and I guess it's a bug. Hopefully, it's fixed in Music Creator 6 because I just purchased that today and can't wait to try it out when it finally finishes downloading.
