    Great stuff!

The vox could come up a bit but other than that, it's a rocker for sure.

    Welll done!

Tight and ballsy for sure. Born in the Bayou, raised on gator bait. Nice self-harmonizing in there.

Excellent job.  Love the guitars and lead a lot.  I would have added a touch of the reverb you used on the lead vocal to the snare.  Snare is just too dry IMO.  I checked out your Facebook page and saw a picture of you.  You should post more pics of the band.  Also, under Labels, you listed Planet Records.  I was signed to Planet Records in 1979 with Sue Saad & The Next.  Keep on truckin'.

I was putting up lights yesterday and this song came on.  Christmas, Halloween, 4th of July, it doesn't matter, this song fits.  My neighbors love watching me shake my booty on the roof when this tune comes on.  Maybe it's amazement on their faces, not admiration of my boot shake.  Ha, later, Rob!!

    guitarhacker
    appreciate the listen

i WAS born in Shreveport LA, so i guess technically i can lay some claim to the cajan vibe.....
    LOL
but i aint no cajan, all respect to the cajans in the world.

    daryl
thanks man, and good eye/ear/though on the arrangment...... for me, the whole thing about this tune is the arrangment.
it has to work from section to section. i try not to copy arrangements that i think work, for fear of falling into obvious cliches.
this one IS cliche, but seems to really work despite having some obvious choices in the arrangment.

    ohgrant
thanks man..... this one was recorded and mixed entirely on a roland VS-1880
this was before i discovered Sonar, and switched platforms.

    rimshot
thanks for listening. this 'planet' records, was thru "VS-Planet", i don't think it's the same record company...
they went tits up anyways, so it's a moot point!
    LOL
the drums, i wanted simple and dry, without much treatment. i'm always afraid of dating certain tracks by obvious reverb treatments, but yea, sometimes they just beg for it anyway

    tap
heh, there's tons of guitar on this one for sure.
every track had a different setup, but the basics were done on my carvin dc200K and my mesa boogie

    clean
    thanks mark

    bapu
thanks man, i had that main riff for years before i did anything with it

    guitartrek
    appreciate it!

    starise
thanks for listening, that mix is a 'real time' mix, meaning, i moved the faders by hand, as the song went thru.
took several attempts to get it the way i wanted..
i literally had to make a 'map' of the mix, with notes to follow, based on the time placement.....

    evadianepug
    warren, shake that ass!!
    LOL
    thanks again....

he, yea, i guess it IS a wall of sound.
    LOL
    glad you like it....

it's got at least 4 rhythm guitars going at once, some layering going on......
    plus the 2-part guitar leads.....
i did an all-acoustic version of this as well

thanks for listening to this when it's not your thing, that's really appreciated.
